our story

The story of Okapi Logistics began in 2019 after my family and I moved to America from Africa. I (Jay MOPEYA) am a father of four boys, and I knew I needed to find a way to provide for my family in our new home country. We received a car from a non-profit organization called International Neighbors, which allowed me to begin working for DoorDash. I started to brainstorm ways to expand my work into my own small business. The COVID-19 pandemic hit and greatly affected professional home cleaning services because people were worried about inviting people into their homes and potentially spreading the virus. After investing in a new cargo van, I launched my own delivery transportation services. 

It’s more important now than ever to keep your home and business disinfected and clean to prevent the spread of future diseases. As a professional home cleaner, I take special precautions to protect your family and coworkers and my team from the virus. We follow the safety protocols and disinfection recommendations from the CDC to provide the best clean possible for our residential and commercial cleaning services.

WHO WE ARE

I chose the name “Okapi” because the Okapi is native to my home country and is one of the cleanest, most hygienic species in the animal kingdom.
